Georgian Crystal is a Porcelain garlic that is known for its large size and rich taste. Easier to grow than most Porcelains, Georgian Crystal prefers a colder climate but fares well in warmer climates too. Georgian Crystal bulbs can top 3″ in diameter and generally produce 4-6 very large cloves per bulb. Georgian Crystal has a full-bodied but not overly pungent taste, making it a favorite among chefs. As the name suggests, this garlic originated in the mountains of the Republic of Georgia. Ready for harvest about mid-summer, Georgian Crystal has excellent storage qualities.
