Italian Easy Peel Garlic
A member of the Rocambole family, Italian Easy Peel Garlic (AKA Purple Stripe) is hardneck variety with an early harvest and a beautiful presentation. Easy to peel, this variety lives up to its name, making it a favorite for busy cooks. Well-known for their smooth flavor, Rocambole garlic varieties are generally sweeter and less sulfurous than Porcelains. This garlic can be eaten either raw or cooked, and due to its high sugar content, it caramelizes well. Flavor is mild with just a bit of heat. Grows well in wet conditions but prefers winter climates. Produces 10-12 cloves per bulb; covered in light pink or purple wrappers; stores about 4-5 months.
